Sermon theme: "Empowered by Grace to Do Special Things"

On this Sunday, Sept. 5, we focus on the theme "Empowered by Grace to Do Special Things"  - based on the second reading for the day. For the most part we know that it is costly to be a disciple of Jesus. However, strengthened by Jesus, we now seek this refreshing grace to do His will. We understand that we have no strength of our own for doing what is right. Only Jesus can rescue and restore us, because He did indeed do His Father’s well for us in our place. That gives us the grace to empower our doing of God’s will -- to truly be people of blessing to others.
