"Living Letters"

Heaven

                                                                                                                              Today 2011

Dear World,

I am sending these "Living Letters"  to you in the form of all the disciples I have at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ridgeway, NC, as well as, all my disciples in the whole world at this time.   They are my "Living Letters" to you so that you can see what Christians are like.  They are a "Living Letter" reflection of Me, Jesus.                                                                                                                                          Sincerely,

                                                                                                                                         J.C. AKA Jesus Christ

We were reminded that we are "Living Letter" addressed by Jesus to people here on the earth.  We are to live so that they see Him in us.  In order to accomplish this, I'm reminded of the leadership conference last year entitled "Fishing" where we were admonished to fish where the fish are,  if we intend to catch fish.   Our attention must be outside our own comfort zone and where we can interface with people and they will thereby see that we as Christians are different.  An example, the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod has embarked on a project to save up to 1 million lives in the African continent by supplying mosquito nets so the people at night when the mosquitoes are active can be protected from their stings.   Malaria is spread by these mosquitoes and the death toll is 1 million a year.   All ages.  Your gift of $10 will supply that mosquito net.

We were treated to three presentations by Reggie McNeal.  He believes that we are not going to increase our church membership  by active specific evangelism programs.   We need to reach people where the work and play and be the "Living Letters" in order to make an impact on them and their beliefs.   They need to see Jesus in us.
